Back by popular demand, Lake Havasu City will host its 37th annual Boat Parade of Lights. This must-see event has appeared on the American Bus Association’s top 100 events in the United States numerous times. On December 6th and 7th, come down to the Bridgewater Channel in Lake Havasu City to watch beautifully decorated boats cruise through the water all the way from Thompson Bay, down under the historical London Bridge, flip a U-turn at Windsor Beach and right back through for a second trip.

As the chilly winter season vastly approaches, make sure you dress warm and cozy as this is an event you will not want to miss. Get into the holiday spirit, bring your beanie, drink your hot cocoa, and sing loud for all to hear as your favorite Christmas tones play throughout the Bridgewater Channel.

Are you interested in entering your own Boat? Anyone interested in more than welcome to be a part of the festivities. Prizes will be given out from many different categories such as: Commodore’s Choice, Judges’ Choice, Best Corporate Entry, Best Individual/Family Entry, Best Non-Profit Entry, Best Local Entry, and Best Out-of-Town Entry. All Boat parade participants and sponsors are to visit the docks in front of the London Bridge Resort where the Parade Floats will be lit up nightly.

If you are interested in creating your own bonfires, please note that you must be on the island side beach areas only. Additionally, these fires must be contained in a portable, self-contained fire pit. It is a must that all ashes are removed entirely following the event. Digging of fire pits in the sand is absolutely NOT ALLOWED. Moreover, no dumping of ashes in the water. The areas will be patrolled throughout the entirety of the event to make sure these rules are being obeyed.

With this being a popular event, note that there will be many people trying to get the best possible view of the lights as they parade along the channel water. Some viewpoints of interest maybe be the Nautical Beachfront Resort (Starting point of the Parade of Lights), Rotary Beach, along the entire channel either side of Rotary or Windsor Beach, the English Village, across the London Bridge, and the many restaurants along the channel here in Lake Havasu City.

As always, this event will be free to attend including parking. We suggest that you show up early enough as the parking along the London Bridge will get congested quickly. Parking will be available at the English Village and in any of the parking areas on the island near the channel. We encourage you all to come out to the London Bridge on the 6th and 7th of December to see one of Lake Havasu City’s oldest holiday traditions. We can guarantee it will be a long-lasting memorable event like you have never seen.
