Desert Hills PFFA 1st annual Side x Side Poker Run

For the first time ever, Desert Hills Professional Firefighters Association (DHPFFA) has
organized an intriguing event that they have named “Side x Side Poker Run” that will be
happening this Saturday, November 2. This all-day event will kick off at 7am at Anderson Toyota
(6510 Showplace Ave) near The Shops of Lake Havasu. This event will have a little bit of
everything from off-roading, scrumptious food at Topock 66, and finally raffles and prizes back
at Anderson Toyota.

If this sounds like an event for you, you might want to jump on this right away as there is only
150 spots available going at a price of $100 per vehicle. These tickets are being sold online
through Eventbrite and Facebook. Each ticket comes with one vehicle tag, one poker hand, an
event T-shirt, and two meal tickets.

Do not be upset if you miss out on getting a ticket. There is still a chance to be involved in this
wonderful event. Spectators will be allowed to send off all the riders from Anderson Toyota at
7am for free. Around lunchtime, people can catch up with the participants at Topock 66 (14999
W Historic Route 66 in Topock, Az off of I-40) and finally everyone is invited to hang out at
Anderson Toyota for the raffle and after-party during the afternoon.
Dry RV camping options are available in the starting area from Nov. 1-3 at Anderson Toyota.
As technology continues to improve, this generation is seeing side x side manufacturers develop
vehicles that are much more equipped and advanced than those of the Desert Hills Fire Districts
rescue vehicles here in Lake Havasu City. With the hope to protect and serve this community
with the best technology possible, all proceeds of this event will go toward the purchase of an
Offroad Rescue Side x Side vehicle, Technical Rescue Equipment, annual TRT training, and a
charitable donation to a localized charity. Please come out and support the DHPFFA with the
Side x Side Poker Run here in Lake Havasu City, Saturday, November 2.
