2019 Lake Havasu Women Pageant
The Lake Havasu women pageant is a yearly event that attracts numerous participants, and other guests who come to witness it. It is fast becoming that event that everyone in Havasu, looks forward to.
The Ms. Lake Havasu City pageant this year, marks the 12th time that the pageant would be honoring women that have positively distinguished themselves in society. Due to the relevance of the pageant events, all efforts have been made to ensure that the tradition is sustained. There are now the added components to the pageant, which makes it even more fulfilling and important.
Important facts about the Ms. Lake Havasu City pageant
Note that the Ms. Lake Havasu City pageant was initially referred to as the Ms. Havasu senior pageant. At the time this was so, the events were sponsored by the Prestige Assisted Living. However, the objectives of the pageant from inception still largely remains the same till now- which is a reason why it has become more of a historic yearly event.
One major reason why the pageant can continue every year is because of the sponsorship it now gets from Havasu Community Health Foundation. The change in sponsorship had to be affected because the Havasu senior pageant had grown and expanded beyond what the Prestige Assisted Living could successfully fund.
Usually, the pageant events are organized in the evening, with activities to celebrate entertaining, jovial, gifted and talented women in the Havasu City area.
Details and activity line up for the 2019 edition of the pageant
In the 2019 edition of the Ms. Lake Havasu City pageant, entries are accepted from women of ages starting from 45. This gives relatively younger women of achievement and purpose, an opportunity to show what they’ve got. This change in format is a reason why the events are no longer tagged the “senior pageant”.
All contestants are expected to have registered their names by July the 31st, while the ticket is sold for $50 flat. Note that this fee covers for all of the dinner, entertainment, and fanfare, as well as the dance. There would be a preview of entry raffle, and other auction goods at exactly 4pm, while 5pm is the time for dinner. As part of the cost covered by the ticket fees, everyone is invited to stay for the dance party- after the pageant is concluded.
Note that all ticket proceeds and donations from the event would be used for the Havasu City Health Foundation’s projects. These projects includes public health enlightenment, health screening programs, and fairs, amongst others. These type of fundraising activities are in line with the foundation’s public charity objectives, which falls under 501(c)3- and which this event aptly provided for.
