37th Annual WON Striper Derby
The western outdoor news, together with the Lake Havasu city is proud to be your host for the Lake Havasu Striper Derby. There will be lots of prizes, cash, and fun for hundreds of participants that will make the annual trip.
The Striper Derby festivities will commence on Friday, 18th of May to 19th at the check-in, held at Anderson Toyota, Lake Havasu City. During the registration hours which is between 4pm-7pm, the Anderson Toyota will host all anglers and family members to a special BBQ.
Teams will check in also during the registration hours, and may purchase event T-shirts, change into it, and partake in the blind bogie and also the big fish options, if not entered already. After the check in there will be a short captain’s meeting to go over the rules of the events and weekend activities for the sake of the first-timers.
The entry fee will be $175 per team, and it includes entry and a chance to win the biats, trophies and other captivating prizes, which also includes the striper Derby hat and T-shirts for both teams. Most people might decide to participate in the great options of Blind Bogey which is $40, and $20 per team for the Big Fish.
The famous Blind Bogey contest runs on Saturday and Sunday, and it is a fun way to win some random cash at the event, so for any sized striper that you catch, you will bring it in, weigh it, and you might just be a lucky cash winner.
The Havasu WON Striper Derby is one of the most interesting, largest, and lucrative Striped fishing event in the united state, that will be happening on the 18th and19th of may, at the London Bridge Resort, 1477 Queens Bay, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403. so save the date and plan to be there.
