July 4th is around the corner and you know what that means!? THE LONG WEEKEND as our beautiful independence day falls on a Monday. This means that we all have 3 days to do whatever you please but why not spend it at the Lake Havasu 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza? There is an amazing atmosphere so bring the family and friends down early to secure some great spots! With more to do than just watch fireworks, spend the day getting involved in a number of water sport activities and get that boat moving. Thomopson Bay is available for all to view the fireworks in their vessels.
Depending on external factors, the fireworks are aimed to fire up at approximately 9pm and the best spots to get a great view of them are:
Rotary Park- No alcohol or pets allowed. Coolers welcome and free parking.
Nautical Beachfront Resort- Island location. Free parking but coolers and pets not allowed.
London Bridge Beach- Island location. Coolers welcome and free parking.
Thompson Bay– Boat access.
Spectator Point- Directly opposite launch site. Best view opportunities.
KNTR 980AM will be provided a simulcast to accompany the amazing display on offer so don’t forget to tune it and add extra magic to the eventful night!
PUBLIC NOTICE: PLEASE LEAVE ALL YOUR PETS AT HOME IF POSSIBLE. FIREWORKS ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR PETS AND MAY CAUSE HARM TO THEIR SENSITIVE SENSE (ESPECIALLY HEARING). THEY ARE ALSO STARTLED BY FIREWORKS. DO YOURSELF AND YOUR PETS A FAVOR, AND LEAVE THEM AT HOME FOR THE NIGHT.
ATTENTION SKIPPERS: Once the firework show has concluded, the on ramps near Thompson Bay may be congested and high traffic. Please make sure that your vessel contains all the appropriate lighting and safety gear to move the process along as fast as possible and avoid unnecessary congestion.
