Buses by the bridge xx

The continuous display of the old quirk VW bus as continued to in its celebration as a tradition in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. What started out as a split-window campout grew into a big Volkswagen display of the old VW buses coming down from all over the nooks and crannies of the country to feature in the giant campout at Lake Havasu State Park to graze the Lake Havasu Event.

This year’s edition of the Havasu Event will showcase all vintages and different types of the VW’s buses. You are welcome to discover the outdoor fun under the sun as you take a trip down the memory lane at the 20th Annual Buses by the Bridge.

Part of the programs to witness in this year’s Buses by the Bridge xx event will include the gathering of kids on Saturday for the bouncy house and watch them while they burn off some energy. The adults also are not left behind as there will be a hot air balloon ride and a chili cook-off.

This Lake Havasu Event has been scheduled to kick off Thursday January 14, 2016 will end with a delicious pancake breakfast on Sunday Morning.

 

More detail of this Lake Hasavu City hosted Buses by the Bridge XX events includes:

 

ENTRANCE FEES (Pre-registration not required)

The walk-in spectator will be expected to pay $2 per person.

Camping Thursday-Sunday: $40

Camping Friday-Sunday: $30

Camping Saturday & Sunday: $20

 

FRIDAY:

7 am: Gates open (set up camp, shuttles available to the Lake Havasu even Balloon Festival)

4 pm: Chili cookoff (free aprons for first 20 entrants)

 

SATURDAY

7 am: Gates open

10am-3pm: Kids activities

2 pm: Cornhole tournament

7 pm: Raffle and awards

 

SUNDAY

7 am: Gates open, Boy Scout pancake breakfast served

10-11am: Individual camp cleanup

11 am: Raffle

 

Campers, motorhomes, trailers, non-VW buses and etc. will be offered a designated RV parking area. However, there is a space to accommodate over 500 vehicles and parking at any of the Havasu Event space will be a first-come-first-served basis.

More so, the following State Park rules will apply

 

All pets are welcome, but must be on a leash at all times. However, State Park rule allows no pet on the beach at any time.

Pet owners will be expected to pick up after their pet!

No glass containers are allowed.

Quiet time begins at 10 pm.

No fires on grass – no exceptions!
